Good morning,

I received a package from T.L.E. Sharp and was in the process of writing a private message but thought this deserved some sharing.

I got home from work yesterday, exhausted as I usually am lately and as I was grabbing the mail I saw a package. I was thinking to myself that I must have bought a knife and forgotton about it and was wondering how I would explain that to my wife. She has basically given me permission to "take care of myself" but as much as I'd like to spend like a drunken sailor to make myself feel better I know that the money isn't there.

After I get inside I opened the bubble mailer and grabbed what I thought would be the receipt and instead found a note.
It said (paraphrasing because it's at home) I thought some Queen D2 would help cheer you up.
TLE Sharpening

Well, it did.

You offered me a small envelope with a box inside filled with happiness and I'd like you to know that's exactly what I received.
Everything is so sideways right now and having a friend, even if we weren't before, reach out with a gift (and a generous one at that) means a lot.

Thank you very much.

This is my first Queen (besided a Schatt I picked up in a pass around) and my first in D2 which is pretty exciting. It's also a pattern I have absolutely none of so I really get to try some new things out on this one.

You really brought a smile to my face and let me forget about the general state of things for a few minutes and I really appreciate that.

I'll post some pictures later when I get back to where the knife is sitting to help keep this as knife related as possible and I welcome anyone else to post stories and pictures of a time something similar happened to them.

Thanks everyone and especially Bryce / T.L.E. Sharp for the kindness and generosity of the porch that I'm proud to call myself a part of.

Good show Bryce what a fantastic display of the spirt of the Porch. Neko if anyone deserved such a generous gift it is you my friend. Good stuff all the way around.

Great news! I'm so glad to hear it arrived safe. It's a wonderful little knife. So sorry for the awful paper the note was written on. It's all I had with me. :D

For those that don't already know, Josh makes some wonderful journals and notebooks using recycled hard cover books and some really lovely paper. My wife and I both have one and love them. Here's mine made from an old physics book.

Very cool gesture. I hope things get better as well, Neko. Where does one find said journals? Can someone pm me if we're unable to speak of it openly? Thank you. You'll love that D2. Great choice Bryce.
Thanks, Neal
