I mentioned in a thread that I had never got my hands on a #71 Bullnose for what ever reasons just missed one on the exchange or not enough knife money when one came available and so on. Paul Hilborn read the thread and this is what he sent me. Also Pmew sent me this PM what a guy Thank you to the two Pauls, and Paul Hilborn I love the knife and you do some fine sharpening that thing is hair popping.

From Pmew
"Hi Randy,

Just saw your post about how you want a #71. I don't have one but this uk dealer has two:

Removed link to non-BF dealer

I'll happily act as proxy and send it on to you if you want to order one and avoid extortionate fees...

- Paul"

This is the knife Paul Hilborn he sent me and made my day.

That Paul is a good guy....and that other Paul is a good guy too! :D:thumbup:
*being silly but serious*

Great bunch of Pauls!

Great stuff, Paul and Paul! (Sounds like a law firm. :D) Randy, enjoy that #71! They're great knives!

It's acts like this that make this forum a great place to be! :)

Enjoy the 71!

Randy, glad you like it, the 71's are wonderful knives. Steel liners, in this case 01 steel, canvas Micarta covers with one of the most comfortable grips (to me at least) with lanyard tube.

I hope it serves you well:thumbup:

Congrats, Randy!:thumbup: Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
Thanks for sharing the story.
Wasn't there a movie called "Legends of the Fall"?
On The Porch, we have our own many "Legends of the Pauls"!! Well done guys! Legendary!:thumbup:

That is a great gift. GEC stopped making those knives in 01 steel, so it's an especially nice one to have. I have never compared it with 1095, but I understand 01 works very well.

Always good to see the spirit of generosity, and with the two Paul's, alive and well.
What a great knife Randy, seems to be a preferred work knife for many of us. Enjoy!
