I just have to acknowledge Delander's most generous help with my beginning Schrade folders collection. Thanks to him, my collection almost tripled in size today!

Check out the two photos below.
Yup, those two knives in the upper left of photo #2 are indeed limited editions! :D

Thanks again, Del!

No problemo, Del!

Now, I wonder if the other Schrade pros can ID all of these knives, just by those mediocre photos?

Pocketknife,
Let me guess....left to right, top to bottom....
TOP
1-5UH but in a special edition, can't tell, is it Ducks Unltd.?
2-limited edition oak handle of the 34OT
3-34OT Middleman Stockman
4-33OT Middleman Jack
5-12UH Roadie
6-72OT Peanut
7-18OT Mighty Mite

Bottom
8-LB7
9-18OT Mighty Mite
10- LB5
11-I can't tell if it has two or three blades. If it has 2 blades it is a 833UH Prairie Jack.....I think that is what it is, but if it has 3 blades it is probably a 807UH J.R.

Well, how did I do? I did it without pulling the knives out of my collection to look at them.

9 out of 11, Orvet! Very good! Especially for not looking at your collection!
#6 is a 12OT, and #11 is an 897UH.

Hmmmm, I wonder what's next for me?! :)

I should have gotten them. :o
I am gonna have to bone up on my Schrades! :D
That is a nice start to your collection. Do you like fixed blades? They can be addicting......just ask Codger. You can find a H-15 pretty reasonable on ebay and it is a nice fist full of leather and carbon steel, (I think most were carbon, at least I haven't seen a stainless one......but that don't mean nothin').

I like the 834UH and the 897UH, the 897 is like the 61OT which is my favorite because it has carbon steel blades. Some times you can find a reasonable user on ebay, but the new ones get a nice price.

Welcome to Schradoholism :D

Orvet, ya, I'm really happy with all these knives. For a small collection, I think I've got a pretty good cross-section of sizes and styles and carbon vs. stainless. I like each of them, and can't really pick a favourite yet, but the full hollow-ground blade on the limited edition 5UH is outstanding! Reminds me of a straight razor. It's handles (Staglon?), with the medallion, are very nice, also! Oh ya, it's an IHEA edition.

I like the two lines (Old Timer and Uncle Henry), for each of their qualities. The Old Timer brown and tan saw-cut Delrin handles have a tough, user look, but those Uncle Henry's look classy! Both are great!

Yes, I do like fixed blades. I need more! I have a very small collection of them:

only one Schrade; the green handled 142OT (well-used, but in great shape)
a couple of Finnish puukkos (sp.?); one monster, and one tiny
a WWII Cattaraugus Q225
a cheap PFD knife
some fish filleting knives, and some oyster knives, all well used :D
a decent collection of kitchen knives
an antique sword cane (okay, not exactly a "knife", but it is a "fixed blade", and very cool!)

Thanks very much for the tips on the 61OT and the H-15. Will check into those!
