In November, 2011 on the occasion of the Blade Show of Gembloux, Sam drew in two, three, pencil strokes a small folder, with these forms he likes...

He had made drawings for both knivesmaker, Rahaël Durand, one of his friends, and Henri Viallon....

Here is thus a first realization of "Raph"

Handle 10 cm, 3" 15/16, Total length 18 cm, 7" 1/16, Rwl34, mammoth ivory. Bolster engraved by Yann Le Baillif "MOF" 2000 (Best worker "craftsman" of France)

Really clean design, choice materials and looks like it could handle whatever it was tasked with.
Yes I like it.
Your threads are very enjoyable, Norbert, Thanks. :)

Great design, well executed. Love folders that try to hold all the steel that the frame allows.

Really beautiful, as said, in both design and execution.

Lots of talent on exhibit there, all around.

Merci les gars !!

Thank you Guys....

Raph should come with us next year to Atlanta. He will present the "Spartan Folder", knife which Sam drew for his customers and friends who wanted a "Sam-folder".....

Doug ;)

Very nice. I wouldn't have much trouble telling what part of the world that knife comes from. Can't wait to see the Viallon interpretation.
