believe it or not! i found a fellow that has both handles; one for the norlund (an original he says)...and the other for the DB colllins 'saddle axe' custom made from cocobolo wood!!!:p
we've been in contact for a couple weeks now and he has found "in his stash" what i am/was looking for. for a resonable price (IMO) too.:D
i can't believe it...i have seen pics of the 'saddle axe' handle and it's beautiful.
it took alot of research and emails to several places, but it seems i found what i was looking for...yes:cool:

i will! can't wait to get the handles. by the time i get them, i think i'll be gone visiting the family in 'bama. so it may be a a couple of weeks. we'll see...
 
That is a score. I have to use a somewhat larger handle when I am going to rehaft my small Norlund hatchet. Please post picts when done.
