Been telling myself for a number of years that I'd pick one up. Waited too long. Maybe it will come back at some point.I planned on getting one of these last year, I wish I could of. Now they are hard to find.
It is one of the more "efficient" models in the lineup. It proportionally has less "flat" and more "grind" on the blade, and also is pretty strong in cutting edge to handle ratio. I particularly like it in a Custom configuration at it adds thickness to the grip which result in wonderful ergonomics, at least in my moderately large hands. The Gentleman Jim I think is something of "odd one out in the family" with Emersons. Most Emersons tend to be fairly broad bladed and wide handles... the Gentleman Jim is somewhat sleek and contoured.
