Anyone have one of the Gentleman's Folder in VG-10 & black Micarta? I know the blade is a Japaneese steel, but where is the knife made? Are they 'tight' in lock-up? Do they exclaim 'quality' - or 'ho hum'? Any mini-reviews?
Thanks!

I bought one recently. The overall shape of the knife is very nice and slim. There are few drawbacks though.
It came well sharpened but with quite obtuse angle. See here:
Also the blade is probably thicker than it would need to be but it cuts well anyway.
The lockup is good, micarta scales are bit slippery, mine came bit abraded at the butt but they are looking good anyway

especially with the brass liners they create nice contrast.
The blade has slightly uneven grinds (notice the slight "rib" at top of the blade near ricasso - not present on the other side)
Nice touch is that both the lockbar and spring holder are mirror polished from the inner side
Outer side of those is left satin:
It comes with leather (artificial?) sheath but I was not impressed with the sheath's quality.
The sheath has soft plastic clip (for belt), (very tight button stud) and overall is quite bulky. The flap is not quilted, glue is used instead and as you can see it is not the best solution. IMHO pocket carry is much more suitable for this knife and if the money for the sheath were used for quality control I'd be happier.
But the price is not bad so if you like the style buy it. Just don't expect
PS: sorry for the poor pics but I have only P&S compact and no tripod.
