I think UB is down again. I hope that he is doing well. We should all thank him for making all this possible. For without him and his work we would be stuck with lesser kukri's and bad costomer service :D and no blade forms to talk with each other.

So thank you Unlce Bill

It has been almost 4 years since I joined Bladeforums, mostly because of Bill Martino and the Himalayan Imports Forum. I spent my 50th birthday here, as a matter of fact.

Bill, I hope that everything turns out well for you....I honestly don't have the words, so I hope prayers and a candle will do.

I hope he's not having a bad spell, good thoughts do not stop on his regard in my home.

A great man. No doubt about it. I hope all is well, but I worry. Smoke and prayer certainly can't hurt.

Hang in there, Uncle. Know you are not alone and you have friends in every corner of the world.

We're pulling for you.

Blonds first?

No Cantina member ever forgets about Bill Martino. He is part of the fabric of our lives. I would bet that he knows just how loyal and devoted a group of friends and customers he has.

Nice of you to post.

And, I suggest, on every plane of existance. UB is a man that transcends. I am continually in awe of your character, leadership and especially your dedication. God bless Uncle Bill

With the amount of smoke I send I'm getting nervous that a big Red Firetruck doesn't show up on my doorstep!

In Hawthorne Nevada they probably just think it another home full of hookahs.

I went to a "home full of hookahs" once with Bill. It was called Ash Meadows. But we had our wives wives with us so all we could do was look.

Munk, we should be ashamed of ourselves.
We took a thread that started out with prayers for Bill and perverted it with sex and drugs.

Anybody got any good rock and roll remarks?

Many thanks for kind words. I'm not around as much as I used to be and do not post as much but I'm here -- lurking away.

I'm going to try to make it to SEKS for Thanksgiving. My brother is just out of the hospital following quad bypass surgery and I want to visit him. His comment following his surgery, "this old age is sure as hell not for sissies!" He's right.

Bill - weather for SEKS looks good for the weekend. Here in NWArk we will be sunny all day Thursday, partly cloudy on Friday. High 50s.

Enjoy your trip.

Uncle Bill who?:p

What Kismet said.:D
Bill is on my list of people who get Smoke sent up for them daily.
Anyway how could anyone forget such a cantankerous old fart like Uncle Bill anyway?!?!?!?!? :p :D ;)
Bill is no doubt laughing his ass off, what's left of it anyhow, at the directions this thread has taken.
And that along with many other endearing qualities is why we all keep hanging around, besides the great UBBB and UBDOTDs along with Yangdu's wonderful sales almost every day that is.:D

“Puja is the act of showing reverence to a god, a spirit, or another aspect of the divine through invocations, prayers, songs, and rituals. An essential part of puja for the Hindu devotee is making a spiritual connection with the divine. Most often that contact is facilitated through an object: an element of nature, a sculpture, a vessel, a painting, or a print.

During puja an image or other symbol of the god serves as a means of gaining access to the divine. This icon is not the deity itself; rather, it is believed to be filled with the deity's cosmic energy. It is a focal point for honoring and communicating with the god. For the devout Hindu, the icon's artistic merit is important, but is secondary to its spiritual content. The objects are created as receptacles for spiritual energy that allow the devotee to experience direct communication with his or her gods. “

1. Clear your mind. The daily dose of work is over.
2. Put incense in burner. Focus on who needs peace, health, good luck... you name it. Someone you care about probably needs help. Maybe even you. Light the incense.
3. Watch the sun set. Smell the smoke. The day is done.

This end of day routine helps me. Usually, the first one is for UB & AY. I might burn 2 or 3. I’m hooked on “Champaka” - really like the way it smells. It *may* chase mosquitoes too.
