This one is headed out to its new home. W's Damascus blade right at 4.5" long 9-1/8" overall with twist frame. W's Guard. Bronze liners / domed bronze pins. Mammoth ivory scales. The handle is a bit large for this but it was requested by the customer.

Thanks for looking

hey, I recognize that steel! :)
This is a pretty different looking knife- and it is super cute! Really appealing to me. It has a Winnie the Poo kind of way about it :)
A lil' hunny!

I too recognize that Damascus. Nice work. It does look a bit out of proportion but if that's the beauty of custom knives. You can request it anyway you want.

Hi Bruce,

If you think a knife doesn't look right because of the way a customer ordered it, it sort of behooves you as a maker to figure out how to fix that.

IMO, making the blade wider in this case, a bit wider than it is now would have solved much of that problem. As it is, it doesn't look attractive to my eyes. It is nice damascus, great materials, just not an aesthetically appealing design.

STeven, Something so simple (making the blade wider in this case) would have solved a lot. I as the maker should as you said figured that out.

Thanks or your valued input

Perhaps your client has a specific purpose in mind, thus his design request?
Kind of looks like a gentleman's oyster knife. I would love to whip that baby out at the neighborhood oyster bake. ;)

Bing, this is a great looking knife I wouldn't change a thing.
Unique and not in a bad way.
I think the elements of sound design and function are there, although the proportionality isn't something we're used to seeing, but I think that's largely fashion driven. Maybe you've uncovered a niche.
I'll bet you will get more orders for this model.
