Yeah, yeah, it's CHEAP. While buying my "devil pouch" at Nordic Knives, I spotted this lil thingie. Amazingly well finished for what it is. 440 and ....TAKES.....a heck of an edge. Now whether it will .....hold.... it is another story.
But the nice wood is so darn pretty that it'll be okay for when I go to cocktail parties (which is never) and the hardest thing I can imagine it needing to do would be to slice a pimiento olive.
Very smooth action and smoothly finished where things meet.

Since I can't bring myself to divulge who REALLY made it, I tell everyone it is from a very famous Mexican knifemaker, Hernando China (pronounced CHEE-na)

It doesn't look like Sr. China is making this a "limited edition."

:D

I've seen knives made by his brother, Tie Wahn!

Exquisite! ;)

(Were you considering that knife for a pass-around? ;) )

I'm holding out for one of his cousin's knives. You know, Pak Istan?

Sorry to break the humor, but what is Hugh Essay? (can't think of the country)

When I taught my 6 year old daughter to spell chrysanthemum and chihuahua, I gave her the secret that she carried to the day she graduated from college: break it into pieces!

Ergo: HUGH.....ESS....AY!

Well, phooey! I guess I missed it too. I was thinkin of Mexican gang jargon and .....Hey,you (hyoo or Hugh) esay. or ESE. Never spelt it but heard it.

:(

Garage Boy: USA

Lavan: I think it's Ese. I was going to use that, but I didn't want to make the phonetic name for the USA into a Mexican one :D
