Since everyone recommended William Henry along with a few others I took a look and found one that I thought was ok and wondered what the concensus was ....

My choice is either this William Henry:

h230-c.jpg

Style: H230-C
Blade length: 2.375"
Overall length: 5.5"
Weight: .67 oz.
Blade: Stainless ZDP-189 core
Handle: Carbon fiber
Fittings: Stainless/Titanium
Carry system: Slip case

Or this Al Mar:

Overall Length: 5.75"
Blade Length: 2.50"
Blade Thickness: 0.080"
Blade Material: AUS-8 Stainless (57-59 HRC)
Lock: Mid Lock
Handle Material: Black Pearl
Handle Length: 3.25"
Weight: 1.50 oz.
Bolster(s): Stainless Steel
Liner(s): Brass
Sheath: Leather Pouch

The price differnece is minimal...

Just wondering which appeared "better" and or what you guys would recommend...and also where to get a William Henry knife as I cannot seem to find that model anywhere.

You know the WH is non-locking ("friction folder"), don't you?

I'd rather have some Kopa or Kiwi than this Al-Mar, if nothing else, they have spyderhole :)

You can also give a look to BM Opportunist, I posted some pics in other thread

Hey Huugh,

I thought that might be the case when I looked at it after posting the image, also the lack of locking info was a bit of a clue...still liked the look but really am preferential to lockers though....

As for the spyderhole, honestly that is one of the turnoffs I have with those style knives...they look cool but not what I am looking for.

I will check out that BM, thanks
