I am such a noob, lol. I did not even know these existed until today.

So has anyone had one that they have used long-term? I am interested to hear the positives AND negatives. How is it holding up? Would you say it's a good value for the $$$ in your opinion?

I have one that I have used for clearing small trees and such. It's nice and I like the hammer part of it too, but I wish that part was flat where it is just a little bit convex. Good for tent peg hammering. I will probably update that myself at some point and grind it flat.

It's solid, has a high quality sheath, keep it oiled it will rust. I should probably wrap the handle with something for a bit of extra grip and cushioning. Mine came razor sharp and I split the skin on my pinky with it. Took a long time to heal.

One very cool thing is that it will teach you about sharpening on a macro scale. When I sharpened mine I really got in touch with the apex, how it would fold a bit to one side and then the other.... a few minutes later after walking to the garage to check on mine: wow super rusty. That's me being neglectful. Let me clean this up a bit and I'll come back with some pics. Aloha!

Lotsa white vinegar for an hour, going to let it soak some more. Talk about a patina, she's now the Stealth Hawk! Will look sweet with a new shiny edge.
