Genzow HatchetHawk?

It is very nice, I love it! I need to play with it a while, but the entire package is great. HatchetHawk is super cool, razor sharp, sliced paper with it. Leather Mask is high quality, and thick. Zippered Pouch is great too! The HatchetHawk and contents come in the pouch and all is in a plastic bag form fitted around it. No box the pouch is for your storage of this tool. It feels about the size and heft of a 20 ounce framing hammer, about the same size. I want to drive some tent pegs with it really bad. The edge is a v-grind with a micro bevel and razor sharp, not a toy for sure.

After looking at the Hatchethawk for a while, I have decided I have a big problem! I need the Ankerson/Sanders Province Bowie to go along with it.:)
 
I just wanted to point out that the Hatchethawk I received is as close to perfect as can be made. I know some have had some issues but the point I am making is not all of these had major flaws, mine did not at least under my visual inspection.
 
I have very little experience with hawks and was thinking it would be fun to try my hand a throwing. I know there are less expensive models made specifically for throwing, but I do like the design of the Genzow and will most likely order it whether it is throwable or not.

Any thoughts from those who have one now? Thanks! Mike

I don't have one yet but it's likely in my future. Just bad timing, finally bought a Gränsfors Bruk Small Forest Axe like a week before it dropped and don't want the Misses to kill me lol.

Anyway I was posting to say that Sal mentioned throwing his on the factory forum, so I think you're good to go there. :thumbsup:
