I just got this from Geoff. Here is the write-up from his web page. I can't add anything more other than I am really pleased with it.
This knife is the sort of thing a rich rancher in Spanish California might have carried, both as a show of wealth and style, and as real weapon. The blade 11 inches of hand forged, hand finished, 1084. with a distinct heat treat line. The heel of the blade sports an elaborate spanish notch. The handle is a nickel sliver frame construction with black fiber spacers and a shell pommel. The handle slabs are bone with nickel sliver pins.
