I have a minty Koutsopoulos folder that I'm considering carrying. It has a large handle which goes well with my large hands. The lockup is extremely tight. Has a highly polished blade of unknown steel and bead-blasted (subdued anyway) metal scales which I would guess to be stainless. All that's on the blade is GEK inside a diamond border. Any info on maker would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with his knives. But the info. i have on him is that he's a part time maker from LaGrange Ohio.Made his first knife in 1976.Made working style straight knives and lockback folders.Useses 440-C ATS-34 and 154CM. Dont know if he is currently making knives.

George passed away last year- He had a heart attack while driving his truck home one afternoon. He was a good guy, great friend and would do anything for you.
A week prior I handed him back his 4 bolstered -blue mircarta handled folder that I engraved up for him, after having it for over 8 months, and he teared up. I said "what is it, the engraving?" He said "No, I'm gonna have ta carry this wherever I go!" Well a few days later I find out someone had talked him out of it- That stinker!! I forgave! R.I.P

He ran an Indian shop (artifacts and such) and lived about 6 miles west of Wellington, Ohio. He sold alot of his knives at Flea markets as well as at his shop and local shows.

I am the grandson of George and I have a few of his knives, and a lot of information if anyone is interested of knowing some things about them.
