I think I might get one. Anyone have or seen one? I am just looking for some input on this one.
Thanks

Jaiden,

I have one. George does great work at a reasonable price.

On mine, the lockup is perfect. The blade grinds are right. Fit and finish are exceptional.

He has his blades heat treated by Paul Bos.

The lines flow very well and it fits my hand well.

The one that I have is his large tactical. I believe it to be an excellent value.

If I remember correctly George is doing these in collaboration with Carl Zakabi on Oahu (George is in Hilo, on the Big Island). Their knives are an amazing value.

I have one, Just picked it up from TAD...I agree with everything Daniel said...knife is perfect ., everything flows together. Has a unique grind on the blade tang that mates with the stop pin and overlaps it. Smooth and solid lock up..dual thumb studs....

Not sure what model I have. Blade is about 3 15/16" long.. below is a pic of mine from the TAD site..

I give it a TWO thumbs up!:D ....

I was posting while Mitch was.....his info explains why the blade is etched with GIBO-ZAKABI and KANAKA tech.

Mitch , would you have any contact info for Mr. Gibo?

These two are available at Arizona custom knives right now

Knifeart .com also has a small one available..I am just posting these as an FYI in case you had not seen them:)

Thanks Daniel! I sent him an E mail...will give him a few weeks to reply :)

there is something about those Hawaiian guys and time...that is for sure;)

Man, one time George took 9 months to reply! ;) And his response was like I just had sent the email yesterday! LOL Full-on Hawaiian Time.

Thanks for the responses.

The two from Arizona Custom Knives were the reason I started this thread. They look beautiful! I thought wow that is a nice knife and very reasonable.

I have also had had some conflicting info. Some of you out there have had bad experiences with lock up and blade play on a Gibo framelock. Anyone else hear of this?
Thanks
