Can't believe it's been 15 years since George Herron passed. I met him once at a show. What a gentleman. I ordered the knife below directly from him in 1997. Feel free to post your Herron knives. Would love to see them.

I am lucky enough to have a few nice ones. Here is one of mine with one of George's students, the late Bill DeVreest (Gordon) with one made by one of the best South African knife makers, Neill Schutte.

I was fortunate to own a few of George's knives but they're gone and so are the photos. :( These are all terrific examples, thanks for sharing. TAH TAH you need a book by either Ruark or Hemingway for you safari collection.

Yes Sir. In the 70's and 80's the Herron Boot Knife was coveted by many collectors.
George made some beautiful fighting knives. I still search for a nice large Sub-Hilt but they are hard to find.
There was a chap who used to display at Blade Show who had a phenomenal collection of George's knives. I have some pics somewhere, I will try and find them.

Geno's work is probably just as clean. Good looking knives and good stag.
