I intend to visit the library soon to view this CD recently received from gracious Dustin & Dennis Creason, thank you both kindly. I am surprised that I have never heard of it before and want to have at it. I have met George Stinzel and greatly admire his collection and his knowledge.

As far as I could tell D-RIG is the only Buck Forum member to quote from this CD. Perhaps everyone has a copy except me or is it rare?

Thank you for looking and thank you members for making this forum the terrific place to hang out that it is. :)

Never heard of this CD. Is it publically available for purchase or ? Would surely like to have one.

Oregon, good to see you on here. I have used his research too and quoted from his presentation he did in 2008. DM

Unknown. I used to have his phone # on a sticky note on my window sill. Perhaps someone who does will contact him and ask your question.

Thank you Desert Dave, good to be here and happy to be here.

Interesting. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one as well.

I will do a bit of searching and see whats out there.

Steve - Good to hear from you my friend and glad to see you on the forum. Hang in there.

He gave me one a long time ago in Pasadena when I met him... He is one nice guy... I have a phone number somewhere too... But where... Can't find anything since I moved...

Nice to see you on here Steve...

:)

I'd also like a copy of this CD. The new BCCI web site wiped out all old contact information, unless folks went and put it back after the update (so no contact info for George).

I do have the clubs CD with George's Presentation performed at the Buck plant. Many of the presentations had poor filming (not bad for homemade) and some had very loud factory background noise that were very distracting. However, the information presented at these seminars is priceless and the club was selling copies of these old seminars (hint).

Nice to see you on here Steve...
:)

Thank you ITE.

Off topic:
This forum, SPS and BuckLite threads in particular, have helped me reconstruct my collection. Many thanks for your outstanding organization, presentation and ebullient skills demonstrated without lapse, collapse or promise of statuary.

Two months later and I fear that I am only about 1/2 way thru what was my cutlery inventory. Insurance pays voluntarily or by judicial decision I need a list of contents. I collected all Marques and many were never photographed. I should have had pics of everything kept in the bank lock box...I actually thought that I had a video of walk thru the home but drilled the box and no joy...

George IS the Buck 110 encyclopedia!:thumbup::thumbup:
He's been collecting 110s since he was a kid and remembers stuff the Buck's forgot about 110s years ago.

I felt extremely honored when he made this 110 for me. He knew I had a pretty good collection of the 110 50th Anniversary knives, so he put a 25th Anniversary blade into a 50th Anniversary frame and gifted it to me for Christmas.

He also gave me a cd once, but I believe it was the one of him and his seminar at the BCCI 20th Anniversary.

Steve...he does check out this forum, but doesn't comment. I don't believe he's ever signed up as a member on Blade Forums.
I can call him and see if it's okay to give you his phone number if you would like.

Mark

There were videos made of the presentations at the last three BCCI big meetings. If you would like them, they were offered for sale soon after the events, but I bet you will have to contact the club to see if any remain for sale. Otherwise someone will have to make you a copy. PS. Don't watch my part, you will go to sleep. 300

yes, hint hint. Perhaps a inquiry to the copy right holder and have more copied for bcci members or such...

That 25th 50th, please excuse my lisp, is an outstanding combination, generous and wonderful gift.

My burning need for his number came and went many moons ago but thank you kindly for the offer Mark. You are so kind.

Saw the CD run thru its 1 minute and 40 seconds several times as a slide show. Vintage 110 close up photography, no sound.

Oregon, did you pit it in the computer and open it from the file menu, or just play the DVD portion?

There may be more content by way of the CD drive where you might find a PPT file, gallery and notes.

BTW... good to see you back on here!

The library had no CD player but a kindly fella at a nearby table loaded the disk and let me play the CD on his laptop. JPEG files only is what I found. Very brief but protracted when played as slideshow. A pleasure to watch even if for only a short under 2 minute run. Love to see the oldies when I can and these are beauties photographed by someone that valued them.

Thank you for the kind words. This is a terrific place to be. You make it so.

I think the Buck Collectors Club has some. Contact Larry Oden. He sometimes is on this Forum. That's were I got mine. George did a lengthy presentation at or 20 year reunion in 2008. DM
