I picked up a knife awhile back made by George Young. It has a 3" Stellite 6K blade with a frame made of Haynes Cobalt Alloy #25. It has blue-green mastadon scales and filework.

The reason that I bought it was that I wanted a folder with a stellite blade and it's a nice knife. I don't know much about the maker other than he is from Kokomo, Indiana.

Does anyone have more information about him and his knives?

Doug,
Thanks. I believe that he is still making knives, just not alot of info on the Internet.

Jim, George Young is a member of The Knifemakers' Guild. He is supposed to be at the Guild show that is taking place this weekend in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. I have personally only seen photos of a couple of his knives.

The contact info below is taken from the Guild's website.

All info is welcome! I don't think we have a deline as to when we will have the book finished. Actually my cousin is doing most of the work! And she can be reached at larryannejudson@yahoo.com
