The quarterly Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild meeting is this coming weekend, February 10-11. We will have a social FRIDAY EVENING 5pm til..... and the Guild meeting Saturday morning starting at 9am. We are hosting the meeting at Fiddleback Forge in Cumming, Ga. There will be a great display of very talented makers, knives for sale, demos, and just plain fun times. Open to the public. If you are a maker and would like to join the guild, bring three knives that YOU created and we will go through jury process. Hope you can make it!

We are having a great turnout. There were a whole slew of new Maker's accepted into the Guild and excellent Demo's.

Whew, was he ever!!! I think I brought one too many suckers to the meeting. Great show today, big thumbs up to the whole Fiddleback crew who put on a class event. Not being partial, but I'm always amazed at the amount of knife making talent in the state of GA and it was great to see at least 5-6 new guys test to get in the guild today. Only one month and a week to Trackrock!

Yepper! Really good crowd, believe the sign-n-list totaled 88 and there are always 5-7 that don't sign. Allen told me 5 juried in for full membership. I was thinking back to that "fateful" 1st meeting in Statesboro, just 14 of us knifemakers with this idea to group-up, share and teach others......man, what a blessing it's been.
Thanks Andy, Allen and the rest of the Circus for hosting the event. Excellent turnout, food, and fellowship.

I got asked for info on a lot of different things - Trackrock Hammer-in, Blade Show, other events, classes, and other stuff by a lot of different folks. I'm gonna play the AARP card (says I don't have to remember crap) so if you didn't get the answer you wanted or I haven't responded....kick my cage with a pm or email.

And yeah, RLo and Tony.....missed a good one, but TR is right around the corner for sure so gear up.
RLo I found the pic, all good to go.

It was great to meet everyone at the meeting! Thanks Phillip for taking the time to show us Fiddleback noobs around the shop. Hopefully Mike and I will be able to make Trackrock.

Sorry i missed you and Mike, I was being pulled in every direction. Next time, please be sure to stop and grab me.

Thanks to everyone that attrended the meeting. It was a great one. To the ones that weren't there, y'all were missed.

BIG credit to the crew, and especially Allen and Phillip for getting the shop into such great shape for the meeting. Allen really went around addressing the things we always wanted to have set up and never had gotten to. The shop looked great. (Of course the table was the best part, and that was all me.)
