thank you very much it is an honer to be in such company, I learn so much every time I go to a meeting. I would recommend any one regardless of skill level go to the meetings, the amount of experience that is there is incredible and, best of all they will share with anyone who is willing to lesson.

I am working on a batch, 3 Marauders in 5/32 1095, 3 Gillies in 1/8 0-1, and a hand full of the little knives that go in the thermometer pock of a chef's jacket, well or in a pencil pocket, or a shirt pocket, or any wear a discreet 3" x 1/2" x 1/16" blade is handy. I spent a lot of shop time getting ready to be judged so I owe Andy some time. It will be a little while before I finnish them but they are ground and in my tray with micarta handles for 2 Marauders and 1 Gillie, dark wood on 1 Marauder g 10 handles and sheaths for all the little knives. I use to be a wood worker that made humidors so I have all kinds of interesting bits laying around my shop so I have not decide what to do for the last 2 gillies.

thank all of you for the encouragement and I look forward to providing each of you with many, many knives

Ok now see this is the kinda info that is pertinet to ones reputation! Lets see some of them, and why did you quit or did you quit making them? And what does Dylans look like? Cause I know he has hit you up just like I am going to!

I quit seeking the business. knives are more fun, and fewer and fewer people appreciated the deference between solid wood, and chinese press board. I still do one from time to time in fact I am doing a 50 cigar one in 1/2" black walnut with a French polish and inlay for a friend that is getting marred. When I get home I will post some pics on my profile. As that this is the ga guild forum I don't want to get to far off topic. As for Dylan I don't think I ever told him what a made just that i was a woodworker.

Congratulations Dan! You are on your way!

AHHHHHHh.........we'll let anyone in! Jury's getting soft since I left office. Andy's living proof.
Just kidding of course.
Welcome aboard Dan.

Dan's not joking about the talent and skill represented in the GA Guild, as fine a bunch of artisans as you could ever want to meet.
