Gerber Air Ranger / Spyderco Raven

I had a Gerber Air Ranger and I was not very impressed with it. Even though I never used Spyderco's Bryd line before, I heard nothing but good things about it. So I would take the Raven over the Ranger.

Welcome to the Forums!:)

I would think the Raven is more worthy of its price than the Air Ranger is of its price. But at 4.3 ounzes the Raven is heavy for the a cutting edge of less than 3 inches. I would choose neither for myself.

I agree, absolutely. Wait, save more cash and get Spyderco's Native or Delica4. They are around $40 and will last forever. Delica 3 may be even less, but it is more difficult to find.
By the way Raven is Byrd, not Spyderco (it is design and sold by Spyderco. It said on the box "byrd knife".

If it's only $15 dollar for a Air Ranger then that's not bad. I don't know what the poster's intent was, but there are other $20 knives like the Doziers from Ka-bar and Benchmade NRA Fecas Gunstock.
