Gerber Applegate Knives

The Mini Covert is made in Taiwan, it's an OK knife.

The other Applegate Fairbairn knives are made in the USA and are much higher quality products.

I have had one of the full sized Applegate folders for about 8 or 9 years and it is a good knife, not a great knife but a good knife.

I've had two. One I bought and the handle screws worked themselves loose and I have been too lazy to ask Gerber for more screws. The other I found near an airfield, I lost it shortly afterwards after it got caught on some ambulance straps. Both were the Covert model. OK knife, for the price, I think there are better knives. Gets the job done though.

I've had one for a couple of years and it has held up nicely. I love the look of it also.

i've had a couple of the full size ones and they are "ok", i still have a 1st production run serial #'ed one FWIW and IIRC havent ever seen another one of those, serial #'ed...

have to say in general gerber folders arent what they used to be lol.

I had a full size one and it was the slickest opening folder I had ever seen, I atribute this to the fact that one of the Vallatons(sp) was involved in the design .
