It sells for about $40 online. I had a chance to buy it for $44 in a store, and passed after handling it.
It's a Chinese liner lock with micarta handles.
I thought it looked really cool, and I normally hate tantos. Other people will probably think it's ugly. The handle is the part I really like. It has a wide bevel to round it out, something more expensive knives lack. It's roughly-finished micarta, so it has a RAT-like finish vs. a shiney Al Mar.
The blade wiggles and the liner sticks really bad. It goes most of the way to the far side of the tang. I tried holding the handle together really tight at the pivot before opening, which often works to simulate tightening a pivot screw, but it didn't help. Also, in two places the liner did not meet against the micarta slabs very well. The liners are also thinner than I would expect.
If you want a good deal on a Chinese knife with a G10 handle, this is double the price of a Byrd and lower quality.
