I'd like some feedback on their 06 automatic drop point knife. I think the knife's ideal for me but don't want to rush with buying it until I've collected all the crucial info from the first hand. All of you who handled the knife please give me some information about the quality and ergonomics.

Thx!

I have one, is well made, no blade play, S30V, steel liner + aluminium handle. overall is a nice auto.

Take a look at Sevetech. I did not really like tantos, until I held this knife. Aaron also makes a drop point, just cost a little more. www.severtech.com

The BM AFO is also pretty sweet!!

I just ran into Benchmade 9050 AFO and HK knife. Can anyone compare any of these to gerber auto? I like S30V on Gerber and I like G-10 handles and titanium liner on HK, but Benchmade 9050 seems like the best fit. Any feedback available?

ive never owned a gerber auto but the benchmades are about as good of an auto as one can get. i have a 9050 in 154cm and it will hold its own with s30v steel. id go with the benchmade if you want my opinion.,,,VWB.

vwb563 can you tell me anything about benchmade rukus? I got a recommendation from someone else so I'd like a second opinion. I guess Benchmade wins here, just not sure which particular knife to get.

sorry but i cant. the benchmade auto's i have are a 9050 and a 9100 stryker. im afraid i dont much about the rukus.,,,VWB.

I guess I'll buy a big Rukus. I really like it now. I saw some options below that offer various handle materials and carbon fiber caught my eye. Can I order the knife so that when I get it it has carbon fiber handles or do I have to buy the standard G10-Micarta version and the CF separately?

Thx

You'll have to buy the knife and then buy the grips. I recently bought a 610BK and then put a set of the silver-twill G-10 grips on it and it is looking fantastic! Look over at the pharmacy as they have the 610's and the optional grips. www.newgraham.com

I also have another 610, just the standard plain edge, satin finish, that I put a set of ivory micarta grips on and it also looks outstanding.
