Gerber Bear Grylls Knife

I just found out that Gerber is releasing a Bear Grylls collaboration knife. Does anyone know what steel the blade is? All the site says is that its made of high carbon steel. Being Gerber its probably a 420, 420 HC or maybe a Sandvik 12C27. Its probably one of those but I need some solid information.

Search in the review section. The steel wasn't disclosed and the knife has overall gotten a bad review.

If you are a Bear Grylls fan and want to add this knife to a collection, I would say go for it. If you want this knife to use, I would advise you to look elsewhere.

Horn Dog already did an excellent review (linked above). It's not a knife I would count on.

I'd just get an LMF or Prodigy to be honest. I saw a video where Bear is saying how it's exactly what he wanted etc....made me sick lol! How are you going to go from a $750 custom to a $40 imported Gerber?
