Have any of you guys tryed this?
I was just cutting some cardboard with it and then that happened!
i was kinda shocked since it was just a light cutting task...

Bummer, man:( Gerber just does not make a good tool any more...well, I like the Artifact but that is just a stamped piece of steel with a small fold out hobby blade;)

Sorry that happened. I've often toyed with the idea of picking up a clutch hoping it would be better.

I used to defend Gerber around these parts. Sorry you got your blade broke, man,:thumbdn: Gerber just doesn't cut it anymore do they?:thumbdn:

According to the box for the Gerber Splice, "Don't be fooled by the Gerber Splice Mini Tool's compact size, carried in your pocket or attached to your key chain, you'll be prepared for any situation that arises". ...except when it breaks! :p

Sorry about your clutch--that's a bummer. On the bright side, the warranty service at Gerber is good (atleast in my experience).

I am on my second "Clutch". New 2nd one two month old did the same thing to the knife blade. The blade stop looks to be bent so the notch in the blade does not make good contact with the stop allowing an additional 10 degrees of blade movement when you least expect it! I am currently looking for a replacement tool of better quality.
