How much should I pay for a Gerber Covert 1st Production Run NIB? I came across two. One with the double blade and the other one single? Please give any reviews of the knives.
Thanks,
Demesbe

Is the knife you're talking about, a folder? If it is, I believe it's a single edge knife, but with a false edge. What's the size of the model? 3", 4" blade?

Yes, they are folders. Blade is about 3.75 inches. One has the false edge the other one does not have the false edge.

That's right, OK, yes, I had a "First Production" Covert. I believe the one with duel edge has been modified, & will detract from its value. Honestly, I don't think their values are very high. I couldn't sell mine for a decent price, I ended up trading it.

If you have any specifice questions, you can email me at:

Seriously doubt, that these limited run of non-serialized or non-certified "1st production run" etched models would create an exceptionally higher value on these folders.
Though it may create better collector value in the years to come for one who seeks just such an etch.

most any gerber folder made since '85 or so thats 1st production run or similar isnt worth any more $$ than a std version, theres not a lotta collector interest(really not ANY lol) in late model gerber folders FWIW, i wouldnt pay a cent more than ~ $50 tops.

early stuff like a FS11 or something, then MAYBE it would be worth a little more if in LNIB shape.

i have a numbered 1st prod run gerber A-F FWIW, when i bought it the seller didnt even mention this lol.
