I sent my Gerber 400 multitool back to the shop to get some parts fixed/replaced. This is the 3rd time or so that I've sent it back. In EVERY instance, it was returned to be in a timely fashion, fixed, and in great order.


This time, I opened up a padded envelope to find a brand new one.


After many years of use, abuse, and allegient carry, they replaced this thing, no questions asked. How ****ing awesome is that?


They even returned the check I sent them for shipping and handling.


I am heavily impressed. I figured I would spread the good word.




On an unfortunate note... now I have to "break in" another multitool.... These suckers are pretty stiff when they're new.. ;)
 
My boss lost the pivot screw from the Gerber folder he uses at work, recently (I don't know the model). He called and asked for a new screw, and was not happy when they asked him to send the knife in.
He was happy 5 (FIVE) days later, when his brand new knife arrived.
Two days there, two days back, one day turnaround. Impressive.
 
I can imagine them asking him to send the knife in. Liability issues, you know? Because they want to make sure everything is put together right, to make sure it won't break for a false reason.
