Gerber customer service

I just got a knife back from Gerber. It is a mid-70's brass frame folder with a drop point. It had a small chip in the edge and the spring was not functioning properly. Gerber repaired my knife free and threw in a cordura belt sheath free. You can mail things to them, but it is next to impossible to get them on the phone, but they do take care of business. Thanks, Gerber!
 
I much prefer giving kudos over disses, but Gerber has not been good to me. They will, however, call you back and apologize for their SOP of poor QC and CS. They are also honest when they tell you turn around time is 6-8 weeks from when they recieve it, and that bad grinds and deep gouges are standard issue on a $140 msrp NIB knife from them. :grumpy:
