I recently ordered a Gerber LMF II Infantry online. When I recieved the knife, it was unnacceptably dull for a factory edge and upon inspection I figured out why- the bevels on either side of the blade were unevenly ground. I contacted Gerber by e-mail and within the hour had a response as to how to proceed with getting this fixed and a phone number in case I had any questions.
While it is unfortunate that the product I recieved was defective, I was pleased by the helpfull and prompt support I got from the company. Any company can make a mistake, it happens. How they go about fixing that mistake tells me a lot about how they stand behind there product and there customers and Gerber gets thumbs up from me in that departement.
As to the knife itself, while I havn't used it yet, my out of the box impresion is that it will do the job I got it for very well once it has a proper edge on it and I will be very pleased with it.
