This is my first time posting on this forum, however I have read through various articles now and again. I would just like to inquire on what your opinions are between these two knives, as in practicality and build quality. I haven't really bought a high end production dagger and am trying to get in to them now, and am looking for a good place to start.

I don't think much of either one truthfully. The Zero tolerance dagger is a better choice if thats what floats your boat. There a ton of more useful blade shapes out there though. But the steel in the ZT is very well done and heat treated right.

Are you talking about the ZT Boot dagger? I'll actually look into that as i've heard great things about it as well! i might just get all three, hahaha.

even though both are daggers,
they are not equally matched in size or spectrum.

Gerber De Facto

Scorpion Knives Dagger

Blade Length: 7" (18 cm)
Blade Material: x46Cr13 (420 Stainless Steel)

Overall Length: 13.25" (33.6cm)
Handle Material: Black "ERGO" Rubberized Grips
Sheath Material: Cordura

having said that, i would see the de facto as a better choice between two evils.
not a steel snob, but anything's gotta be better than 420.
not unless edge holding is secondary consideration.
i am however torn by the sturdy built of the other make.
it is a well todd of design for specialist military applications

but seeing that practicality was a criteria for you,
i feel that the shorter de facto would serve better for general applications.
as a rule of thumb, size matters for the "law abiding ;-) " in non-conflict zones.
but only your gut feeling will draw you to a conclusion.
yup, if you're collecting it's best to acquire them all while you can.
