gerber EAB alternative?

I really like the gerber EAB's compact design, and the price can't be beat. I just wish it was a little better. some provision for 1 handed opening, better finger guard (choil?) etc. I don't like the superknife design. too big. does some other actual knife maker make something similer to the EAB? or am I just being picky?

I have one - and it's sitting in the glove box for lack of a better place. I agree with your points - it does lack ease of use.

I think that is because it is really a money clip designed for the engrave and give away market. As a useful box knife, not so much, compared to it's "marketing premium" use. I gave it some thought, and decided I was asking a lot for this type of knife to perform as a EDC, when it's really a pocket filler for the office guy who rarely needs anything sharper than his coworkers finger nails.

I'd give it four stars as a loaner in that situation, tho. Very PC, if they don't try to close it.
