I need help replacing my current EDC. My criteria are it being a lockback or slip joint with a blade length around 2.5 inches and a pocket clip. and keep the price under 80 USD. The size constraints are very important for legal reasons. All input much appreciated. :D
 
Mini recon 1, but the blade is 3". Rat 2? Kershaw leek or chive?
 
Do you like Spyderco? There's a very long list of Spidies that fir your criteria, the top three in my opinion would be the Dragonflt, Delica, Sage

Kahr Arms Delica (about $20 over your stated limit, but it's a Delica with a re-profiled blade to make it exactly 2.5")
SAK with a suspension clip (eg. TEC P7 or Munroe Dangler)
