Tomorrow is my birthday, and I am getting a Gerber F.A.S.T. 06. I was wondering if anyone has had expeirience with it. All replies are appreciated!
 
Zippo- grabbed one in trade from a guy I know. I like it a lot. Blade is big and the grip is great the action is fun to play with and the assist is nice in that it doesn't take a lot of torque to get the thing moving. I personally don't like tantos to much but the package as a whole with the serations make the blade look aggressive and as a tactical folder this would add a certain deterrent value.
From what I've seen the auto one is waaaaay better with s30v but its also in the auto market and double+ price range. The piston lock is a bit sticky but in all fairness I got it in trade so I don't know what use its been put to before I got it. Also I'm a lefty so the pocket clip only works for off side carry for me.
As a side note my EDC is in rotation but my new baby is a zero tolerence 0200st which is just a ******* hand ax. But when put side to side and ignoring design architecture differences that Gerber is a nice carry option at 1/3 the ZT price. I mean its not the ZT but you can't expect it to be.
Also if you really like the 06 fast you should try a CRKT m16 special forces big dog tanto I think you would love that knife as well!!

new to the site but i thought id share my input on a few of the knives that i own and this is my absolute favorite edc knife and i love it to death. Ive had nothing but good luck with it and it is the s30v tanto version. its tough, has never failed, takes a great edge and holds it as well (gotta love s30v) and yeah its just an amazing knife so i hope that you got it and also love it!
 
Great Knife if u like big "Tactical" knives, the lock came on mine came super stiff and had to bee worked in.
