Gerber fast draw

I've had one for about 10 years. Still holds a great edge and flips fast as ever. Lock works perfectly. What else can you ask for...

I bought a Mini Fast Draw a few years back while my Kershaw Chive (my only knife at the time) was away for warranty service. At the time, it served my college student EDC needs quite well: opening packages, cutting up cafeteria food, etc. The assisted-opening was fun to play with, it didn't usually frighten NKPs, and it was easy enough to carry. On the minuses, it had about the same edge-holding ability as my Chive's 420HC (which wasn't very good), the ergos in hand never suited me well, and it developed some vertical blade play. I ended up selling it and acquiring a Spyderco Delica, from which my collection has expanded significantly.

Bottom line: It's a decent value knife, but don't expect it to fit like a glove or cut like a lightsaber.
