Gerber Firestorm

Not a Gerber fan as of late, but that is a nice looking knife, tell us how it cuts when you get it. The handle reminds me of the handles on a Camillus Heat, so that's neat.

I might not be a huge gerber fan as of lately, but this knife is great. I know that rick's edc is actually one of these firestroms. Beleive it or not, but the fit and finish on this knife is EXCELLENT. It is very smooth and fits together very tightly. this knife won't let you down.

I will not buy any Gerber products until they correct what they have done to Kit Carson and CRK&T.

I hear Rick's got a contract going with Benchmade. I'd rather wait to see what that develops (can we all cross our fingers on a prodo version of the Fire Tac?!?).

Sincerely,
Anthony

Will that make my custom firetac i have on order go up or go down in value?

I too have a custom knife on order with him.(I am waiting on a Flashover, with flipper.) I know, I am not a big fan of Gerber's either, but I AM a huge fan of Rick's!!! I would like to see a collaboration with Benchmade or Kershaw.

Plumber, I wouldn't worry about the price of a custom Hinderer if there was a prodo version. I mean, look at Blackwood! He still gets upwards of 4 grand for one of his custom Skirmishes. True, a custom skirmish makes the prodo version look like a "gentleman's knife," but you still can't find a custom Blackwood cheap. I mean there may be some more debate with Rick's customs versus a prodo version- after all the BM would be CNC'd just like Rick's are, which might thin the margin between custom and prodo for some. However, I don't think anyone would argue that Rick's knives aren't worth every penny paid for them- even if you could get a mass-produced version slightly cheaper. Bottom line, high-end cutlery buyers (like those found here) are ALWAYS willing to buy a custom over a prodo if they have the choice, and rarely squable over the price for a good piece (like Rick's knives). Hope I haven't muddied the waters too much!

Sincerely,
Anthony

I have a Hinderer Dauntless on order from Tad gear, can't wait till they get more in stock. Anyone else seen this model? It's a sweet looking knife.

SpyderJohn...I guess it was jsut a rhetorical question, becasue i really don't care. I love RIck's stuff, and to me it is worth the money and wait.

I LOVE the Hinderer Dauntless!! I want one of those knives sooooooooo bad!! Are you getting it with or with out the tritium thumbstuds? THAT knife is at the top of MY list!!

I got my knife yesterday, it is outstanding!! Man, this thng is rock solid, and shaving sharp!! Feels good in the hand, although it is heavier than I expected. I love it. I love the blade shape, everything!! It is one solid and smooooooth knife!!
