Never used, in perfect condition. Only thing I remember about it, I was out of basic training, Air Force. Some buddies and me went downtown ( SanAntonio ). I went into a knife shop or sporting goods type shop and spotted the Gerber and asked the proprietor about it. He told me that knife was the last of the India Staghorn Gerbers, because that material had now been banned for import. I don't remember what it cost, except it was the most expensive knife I'd ever bought at the time. It still has the original brown leather Gerber sheath. It's a beautiful and well built folder. I'm proud of it, but have no idea if it's worth anything on the market. I will try to figure out how to get photos of it posted here so you'all can see it. It really is a perfect specimen of a vintage factory Gerber, from what must have been their golden years. I bought other Gerbers from that era, they were always very good quality, sadly all gone now. I'm lucky this example survived all this time (43 years )..edit: I took photos, attached, Para3 Maxamet for size comparison. 15664325565691234655052.jpg 15664328944991159782649.jpg

jacksterp jacksterp , thanks, I'll try that later, I see for now I can upload photos directly onto my post. I will try to be more "artistic" in later posts...

I'm not a fan of stag handles but that is a beauty! Gerbers of that era were well done.
Thanks gazz98 gazz98 . Yeah, stag handles aren't my first choice anymore, but I'm glad this example is still here for our viewing pleasure. Thanks for your input!
