Gerber from target?

I was at target(the chain store) today, trying to find a use for a gift certificate i recieved for christmas, anyway, I happened to wander through the "sporting goods" section, and saw a pair of gerber pliars (series????) along with their mini keychain AAA LED light....question is...are these things factory seconds or something...ive never seen a quality multitool like this at a $30 price tag....they also had the autopliar, but i got that already so....any ideas?:confused:
 
As far as I know the Gerber multitools (and all of the other tools) are standard stock products from the respective companies. I do not believe that the tools are factory seconds or tools with blemishes. I could be wrong but I have never observed anything to indicate that.
 
They sometimes have good deals on SAKs too. I don't know why exactly.
