Gerber Gator Bayonet

I have an old Gerber Gator Machete with no handle because it broke off while I was chipping ice off a brick wall. I hate retiring things and I like to re-purpose things after they break or make them into something cool. I was thinking on making it into a bayonet for my Norinco MAK-90 (AK-47). It's too heavy and cumbersome to be a practical tool for it so this is purely a joke, what do you guys think?

im figuring out how i'm going to mount it to the barrel of the rifle and i'm picking up some maple to make the handle tomorrow after i get back from fishing. it's gonna be 70 in new york and i'm not letting the bass that are jumping right now get away
