Quick question.. anybody give me a review on the Gerber Gator Drop Point Knife, with the 154cm steel blade, i am looking to possiblely buy a older model with little to no use...Vintage gerber!

The Gerber Gator series are good knives. My brother and his son-in-law both have both used them for years for field dressing deer.

i had an early gerber gator with the 154cm steel. i loved it. lockup and fit n finish were quite good. i say get it. :)

I had one before the 154cm version about 10 years ago. It was a good knife. My only problem was that when the blade developed some play, I couldn't tighten the pivot because it required some kind of special tool.

I have one (folding version) I got about 5 years ago. Tang stamped Portland, Oregon.

It's a good, solid knife for the money = about $40.00 new.

Ive had one for years dressed a few deer with it and sharpened it on a pocket sharpener from walmart its always held a good edge
