Gerber Guardian Back-Up steel?

Hi!

I just got my Gerber Guardian Back-Up.
But one question remains: what steel is the blade made from. Gerber states on their homepage that it´s "stainless steel" - uh, yeah

The blade shows no steel description and I couldn´t find any information about the steel from other sources so far.

Can anybody help me?

I think I remember it being 440A

Could be wrong thuogh..

It's in that range..

Mine was a Bitch to sharpen...
