So I just received my GGB in the mail today, and I rather like it so far, it's a neat little knife. However, my main gripe is that the sheath does not allow for horizontal belt mounting.

Does anyone have any advice on how to convert the sheath that comes with it (It has a hard plastic sheath with a metal clip attachment that can be reversed to provide tip up or tip down carry) so that I can get it to mount horizontally on my belt?

I can't find a pic of the sheath, but I would just drill some holes on whichever side you want to screw on a tec-lock.

" The sheath itself leaves very little room for any kind of actual modification to it, and there's no excellent way of doing much with the included clip."

You basically answered your own question. Choice is to make your own just like you want, or have one made.

I've done this: cut off a 2-4 inch piece of bike tube, rig the Kydex sheath for inverted carry, clip it inside the tube, and thread your belt through it. It works. For longer term, have a similar tube made up from leather.
