I have a couple of Gerbers. This one is definitely a Guardian but it has an older Gerber logo and a leather squared off sheath. Any idea what year it was produced?

Early 1980-ties. First year the Guardian had the slant logo. Is the fastners inside the sheath made of metal, not plastic?I have a couple of Gerbers. This one is definitely a Guardian but it has an older Gerber logo and a leather squared off sheath. Any idea what year it was produced?
Ok. later had plastic. I ment inside the sheath. The sheath uses a blued steel belt / retaining clip.
Exactly. Thank you for a clear picture! I think I also have the leather w metal clip but plastic retaining clip. The first leather sheaths for the standard Guardian had a steel knife retaining clip that had a black coating on it to protect the blade from being scratched. The second leather sheaths had a plastic retaining clip. The third and final sheath was made from Cordura nylon, and had the same plastic retaining clip. View attachment 2752301View attachment 2752302
