I have had my instant for a few months now. I got it as a gift.
Never has opened in pocket. Only real production problem with mine is that the leaf spring that powers the blade out has some machining grooves on the end that touches the blade. This makes the initial push on the thumbs stud quite stiff, but once beyond that, the blade deploys very fast and solid. This make it hard to open, but I have gotten used to it. I have come to accept it now as almost a safety feature, as it like a very heavy trigger pull on a firearm.
It is comfortable to use and seems to stay sharp even with a lot of use. I used it quite hard in the garden last weekend and it survived. Resharpened easily with diamond stone in just a few swipes.
Overall acceptable.
The couple annoying things that stick out are the non movable clip, and price. Although I got it for free, I would have probably been upset if I had shelled out 37 bucks.
There are just too many other better knives out there for that amount of cash. I will continue to use it as my working in the yard at home pocket knife and I'm pretty sure it'll do fine, but again, I can get a rat1 for less $$$$ and the rat is a better knife.
