Gerber LMF II Kydex sheath?

I go kayaking often (I also sell them for a living) as well as spear fishing and I just recently got a Gerber LMF II in a trade(my first fixed blade stainless knife ever)....I'm getting tired of my good knives rusting even in dry bags....I don't like the sheath and I'm sure it'll fall apart on me eventually being wet all the time. All that velcro everywhere . Any ideas where i can find a kydex replacement?? I need it to have the ability to strap it to my lower leg. No belt on swim trunks or wet suits. Any kydex makers on the forum that already own this knife? I don't want to break the bank...

I have one. I think you can pull off all those straps and stuff off the sheath and just have the flat OE sheath that came with the knife. Then use something more durable than the nylon straps for fastening to your leg? That sheath looks like it can give you a few options. Just an idea.

I hear you on the rust thing. Almost all my fixed blades are 1095 but whenever I'm canoeing I grap my LMF II, I have the first run thats Sandvik 12c27. My point is I have had that sheath soaked for days and its held up just fine, then again I have the first run sheath as well which appears slightly different than the newer one (ie. screws instead of glue), best of luck.
