My question is with the vintage gerber lst's model's 200,300,400. what color handles did theymake them in other than the black, red handles? if anyone has pics would be great as well.

If memory serves, the early ones were only available in black. At least those are the only ones I remember seeing in the ?early 80's?

BTW, Welcome to BladeForums!

I seem to remember a light camo color, but with my lousy memory, I could be mistaken.

I definitely remember camo, but I thought it came later and was not one of the original options.

I have a red one with polished blade. I've seen every color in the rainbow, mostly on ones made for specific giveaways or premiums. IIRC there was an orange version with "Oregon" molded in, for that chain saw supplier. Camo was common, blue and green were giveaways, too.

It all depended on what the company wanted and if the volume was high enough. Blades were sometimes etched, too. I never saw them catalogued, they were always in a promo from a company or on a gun show table. Usually with a $20+ tag.

is there a book that might list the colors or somewhere else to look ? new to knife world, gerber does not have a archive or one that i can find. i have become interested in them and would like to find out. i have seen now a yellow and turquoise . if anyone knows of other colors let me know and post pics i as well. thanks

The older LST's came in a variety of colors. I had a Maroon LST. Now Brother has it. :)
