Gerber Mark II Identification

I picked up this Gerber Mark II at a local auction with the intention to resell it. From the research I've done, I'm having trouble identifying the year it was made.

....
Based on serial # - 009382, it should be 1968......but, everything else I find suggests a later date......
1968 is supposed to have a gray handle - mine looks black
Serrations don't appear until 1971 and mine has serrations
1968 sheath is supposed to be brown and mine is black
My sheath does have 3 lines which was supposed to happen after serial # 008173

I don't think that's a Mark II, looks like a Mark I

Its neither, its a Gerber Command made much later than Viet Nam.
