Gerber Mark II

I was tring to find some info about a knife I just got at a yard sale it is a Gerber Mark II? as far as I can tell. The #'s on it are 036726 it look in very good shape but the blueng is starting to fade or was not done right

Is your Gerber gray and black handled? How long is the blade? Sheath?

If so....by that serial number it should be around a 73-75 model......I'd have to look it up. Should be serrated.

The blades in that time frame were L6 steel and it was not uncommon for people to cold blue them. In fact, Gerber even sold a cold blue kit to do it yourself.

yes black and gray handle it is 12" long the blade is 7" and the sheath is 14" and it is serrated

Look on ebay at similar Gerbers......it all depends on condition though. Since it is not truly a Vietnam era piece, the value is considerably lower.

Excellent shape around $200-300

Good shape $150-200
