Gerber Mark II

A buddy at wok has a Gerber Mark II. He said he bought it on active duty back in the mid 80'S. He's wanting to sell it for $85. The knife is used but not abused. It has the number J4278S mark on it. What do you all think??

According to the serial number it was manufactured in 1991 so . . . . probably wasn't a "mid 80's purchase

BTW, there were 8,979 produced in that serial number range.

I would agree, maybe $60. $85 is a bit high.
